Pinoy Big Brother suspended by MTRCB


From the Pinoy Big Brother website:

The Movie Television Review & Classification Board has ordered the suspension of the hit reality show Pinoy Big Brother for exhibiting scenes that the board deemed beyond the parental guidance classification of the show. Pinoy Big Brother will not air on Sunday, September 25, due to the suspension issued by MTRCB.

... the board has monitored and determined that the episode broadcast on September 19, 2005, to contain scenes, such as but not limited to, kissing scene between housemates Chx and Sam, gyrating dances in skimpy bikini, double entendre dialogue and use of skimpy bikini, to be beyond the parental guidance classification ...


It seems the MTRCB deems the scenes too explicit for the Filipino audience, particularly with Chx and Sam's kissing scene, JB and Say's love story, and the attire worn by the female Housemates.

But what of other shows that go overboard with violence and sexual innuendo? In many instances, suggestive acts are even more distasteful than straightforward ones. There are numerous programs shown in the primetime that feature bikin-clad ladies and double entendre jokes. Even the early evening news programs are filled with violence, crime and sometimes sex, and the MTRCB is not saying anything about that.

At least it's just a one-day suspension, for Sunday, September 25, 2005.

bat naman daw nila isususpend ang PBB ng dahil lang s kalandian ng CHX na yan............
ano na lang silbi ng panonood sa kanila kung ganyang manging_alam na naman ang MTRCB sa kung ano ang dapat n apnoorin ng mga tao??????????\
bago naman nila ipalabas ang PBB, eh nakaSULAT sa UMPISA ng show na "SOME SCENCES R NOT APPLICABLE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES" nakalagay pa na PG is needed........
MTRCB pakialamero talaga......
kung gusto nu gumawa kayo ng sarili ninyong show......
